Overview

Beaty Construction was a specialty contractor on the two-part slide correction on Mount Tabor Road along Slate Run.  The second part was a design/build soil nail and shotcrete buttress down to flow line of Slate Run.  Construction required extensive dewatering of slate run.  All soil nails were drilled in the rock face to secure shotcrete and a toe wall was installed to prevent further erosion.

Beaty Construction was the successful low design/build bidder on the ODOT US 50 emergency slide repair project. Beaty, Palmer, and Terracon utilized a combination of design approaches and construction methods to stabilize the existing slope.

Overview

Project consisted of four design/build soil nail and shotcrete walls to correct landslides along U.S. 150.  Construction required extensive dewatering of slate run.  Each soil nail wall design was unique, including soft soils with high moisture content, granular seams, stiff soils, and bedrocks.  One of the walls included a stormwater structure with outlet pipe that required MSE wire wall section.
