Beaty Construction was the General Contractor for the demolition and removal of thirteen commercial structures, ranging in size from 7,000 to 100,000 square feet in size, located in Martinsville, IN for the new I-69 road construction project. These structures included medical office buildings, storage facilities, 84 Lumber Company and the Community Chrysler dealership.

Minimizing disturbance to nearby historic homes and the general public was of upmost importance during the demolition of the 4-story 150,000 SF hospital in downtown Shelbyville.  Advanced planning and coordination with the City were essential to account for the close proximity to the historic homes.  Beaty utilized on oscillating water cannon misting machine to spray a fine mist over targeted areas to reduce dust in the air.   Beaty effectively coordinated with multiple entities to salvage existing hospital equipment.

This project consisted of selective demolition of a 66,000 SF portion of an operational hospital.  Beaty closely collaborated with the General Contractor to develop a schedule that allowed new construction to begin with minimal disruption to existing operations. Beaty performed dust control to reduce health impact, which included constructing dust walls that separated hospital operations from demolition activity.
